- We do not charge for live video or the video replay library. However, to give our regular customers or seasonal customers the best viewing experience we have implemented a policy that requires a nominal amount of account wagering activity.
- Read the appropriate FAQ section or EZmoney processing FAQs for details on these free services.
www.betharness.com charges for deposits made with credit cards. The processing fee is $5.00 per transaction. There are no fees associated to the EZmoney system and it is free to set up. Accounts and wagering
When do wagers need to be placed?
Wagers can be placed up to post time. To avoid being shut out due to delays over the Internet, we recommend that wagers be placed as early as possible.
What types of wagers are accepted?
We support nearly all wager types offered by our member tracks. The wagering menu will virtually mirror the tracks' wagering menus with the exception of parlay wagers (such as twin-trifecta or tri-super) which require an exchange ticket.
Are transactions confidential?
All wagers and transactions are completely confidential.
Does BetHarness.com have a wager limit?
Yes, the limit is $1,000 per wager. However, you may make multiple wagers to exceed this amount. The total of multi-bets, such as boxes and wheels, may also exceed a total of $1,000. (For example if a user wagers $200 on a three-horse exacta box, then the total sum of the bet would be an allowable amount of $1,200.)
Which credit cards do you accept for deposits?
Currently, we are only able to accept MasterCard and Visa for online deposits, including those debit cards which carry one of these logos. I know my card and credit limit are good, why am I being declined?
The most common reason for a credit card decline is that your issuing bank does not allow deposits to oneline wagering sites. Another common reason (other than over the credit limit) is address verification. On the "Add More Funds" page, the fields will be automatically filled with your account information. If the address your credit card billing statement is mailed to is different, you will need to change the information in the fields to reflect your credit card billing address. You must also provide a valid and complete (email@example.com for example) email address for online deposits. If your credit card is declined, we recommend our FREE EZ Money deposit service.
Are my credit card deposit treated as cash advances, or purchases?
Our online credit card processing company treats all deposits as purchases, not cash advances. Deposits made over the phone through Player Services are sent to a different processor, which may treat your deposit as a cash advance.

You can access various probable payouts based on the track and the race.
Which pool does my money go into?
Your wager will be commingled into the appropriate pool of the host track.
How is my wagering dollar distributed?
Because all wagers are incorporated into the host track's wagering pools, the horsemen, the state and the racetracks share in the revenue.
How long after the race does it take for winnings to post to my account?
Your wager log update takes only a few minutes from the time the official race results are posted at the track.
Is there a minimum amount required to open an account?

Conditional Wagering ^ more topics
What is a "conditional wager"?
A conditional wager allows a player to set minimum odds thresholds that must be satisfied (at a scheduled minutes-to-post timeframe) before the wager is sent to tote for processing. If the minimum odds thresholds are satisfied at the selected timeframe (relative to minutes-to-post), the bet is sent to tote for processing. Otherwise, if the minimum odds thresholds are NOT satisfied, the conditional wager 'fails' and no bet is sent to tote. Conditional wagering enhances the bettor's ability to easily place wagers that he/she feels represent good value.
Which bet types support conditional wagering?
Conditional wagers are currently available for Win, Daily Double, Exacta, and Quinella wagers. Conditional 'WIN' wagers are restricted to only those bets involving a single betting interest. Conditional 'DAILY DOUBLE', 'EXACTA', or 'QUINELLA' wagers are restricted to a single ('straight') combination consisting of exactly two betting interests.
How do I place a conditional wager?
Conditional Wagers can only be placed online at www.betharness.com. Conditional wagers can NOT be placed when using live phone operators to place your wager. When constructing a bet online at www.betharness.com, a "Make this a conditional wager" checkbox will appear for any wager which is eligible for conditional wagering. After marking the checkbox, you will be able to: (1) Define your minimum odds threshold by entering the minimum win odds (for WIN wagers) or entering the minimum Probable Payoff (for Exacta, Daily Double, or Quinella wagers); and (2) Set the scheduled timeframe (relative to minutes-to-post) for the conditional wager to be evaluated. Then, after setting your conditional wager criteria, continue the construction of your wager as normal.
How does conditional wagering help the bettor?
Conditional wagering helps the player:
- Make value oriented bets without having to constantly monitor the tote
- Ensure fair odds when placing bets - especially when placing bets in advance
- Avoid wagers on overbet ("underlay") horses
Are conditional wagers "fixed odds" bets? Are the minimum payoffs guaranteed?
No. The payoffs for conditional and non-conditional bets remain identical. Conditional wagers merely allow the player to define if/when a bet should be sent tote. Conditional wagers accepted by tote may ultimately pay less than the minimum odds/minimum probable payoff since final odds and payoff information cannot be determined until all wagers have been placed into the pari-mutuel pool. Conditional wagers do NOT guarantee a minimum odds/probable payoff on your wager.
Will my bet be cancelled if the odds drop after the bet is sent to tote?
No. After the bet has satisfied the minimum odds/probable payoff criteria(at the scheduled timeframe) and the bet has been accepted by tote, the bet will remain in the pari-mutuel pool - regardless of later odds changes.
How do I know if my conditional wager was sent to tote?
As always, today's betting activity for your wagering account can be reviewed through "Recall Today's Bets" (available in the drop down under "More Options" on the wager frame). In addition, betting and transaction activity which occurred before today can be reviewed under "Detailed Account History" (available through "Manage My Account").
The status ("Open", "Accepted", "Completed", "Cancelled", or "Failed") of any wager can be reviewed from these screens.
What is an "Open", "Accepted", "Completed", "Cancelled", or "Failed" conditional wager?
The "status" of a conditional wager falls into one of the following states:
"OPEN" wagers have been submitted by the bettor but have NOT yet been sent to tote.
"ACCEPTED" wagers have already been sent to and accepted by tote.
"CANCELLED" wagers have been cancelled by the bettor before being sent to tote.
"COMPLETED" wagers have been accepted by tote and the results of the bet have also been settled by tote.
"FAILED" wagers have failed to satisfy their minimum odds/probable payoff criteria and were NOT sent to tote -or- the bets were rejected by tote for some reason.
Can I cancel a conditional wager?
"Open" conditional wagers which have not yet been sent to tote can be cancelled via Recall Today's Bets (available in the drop down under "More Options" on the wager frame).
Why isn't my account balance debited immediately after placing a conditional wager?
Account balances are not debited until the conditional wager has been successfully accepted by tote. In the event your account balance does not have the funds needed when being processed by tote, the wager will 'fail'. Be sure to maintain a sufficient account balance to fulfill all of your "open" conditional wagers. Otherwise, your conditional wager(s) may be rejected by tote for insufficient funds.
If your account balance does not have sufficient funds to satisfy multiple conditional wagers made on the same race with the same scheduled timeframe(relative to minutes-to-post), the wagers will be processed in the order that (i) the condition is satisfied and (ii) the wagers were created.
Why are some Minimum Probable Payoffs based on a $1 base wager amount and others based on a $2 base wager amount?
Unfortunately, base wager amounts vary from track to track for the reported Probable Payoffs of Exacta, Daily Double, and Quinella wagers. Some tracks use a$1 base wager amount when reporting their Probable Payoffs and other tracks use a $2 base wager amount. For this reason, it is important to pay attention to the displayed base wager amount when defining your minimum Probable Payoff.
Why don't you offer conditional wagering for Place & Show wagers?
The tote only provides current odds and probable payoffs for Win, Exacta, Daily Double, and Quinella wagers. For this reason, conditional wagers are restricted to only those bet types.
Why don't you offer conditional wagering for 'Box' and 'Wheel' wagers?
Unlike 'straight' wagers involving a single probable payoff, there are multiple probable payoffs for box and wheel wagers (one for each possible combination). What if only five of the six combinations in a 3-horse box meet your minimum probable payoff criteria? Should the conditional 3-horse box wager "fail" and no bet be sent to tote? Or, should five individual straight exactas be automatically placed (instead of the 3-horse box)? How should the late scratch of a runner be handled? As you can see, the complexity is raised considerably for box and wheel wagers. Therefore, conditional WIN wagers are currently restricted to only those bets involving a single betting interest. And, conditional EXACTA, DAILY DOUBLE, or QUINELLA wagers are restricted to a single ('straight') combination consisting of exactly two betting interests.
