BetHarness respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we protect your privacy and the confidentiality of the information that you provide to us when you use our service.


Personal Information (which you provide to us)

You may open an account with BetHarness if you are at least eighteen (18) years old, (twenty-one (21) in some jurisdictions). 
If you are of legal age, then please be aware that BetHarness collects and analyzes the following "Personal Information" provided by you during site registration and account funding:

  • Your Name, Address, Date of Birth

BetHarness asks players for phone numbers for account verification and for special, account safety circumstances. BetHarness does not give out player phone number information to any third party for uses not described as normal business operations.

BetHarness reserves the right to use your Personal Information in order to ensure that wagering activity on our site meets state and federal laws and other statutory requirements. In addition, from time to time we may use your Personal Information to offer promotions and marketing offers to you; to assist you in enrolling in games, contests and sweepstakes; to personalize your interactions within our site; and other uses which are generally limited to the use of our service. No Personal Information is shared with third parties without your written consent.

Personal Information may be disclosed to judicial or other government agencies in response to warrants, subpoenas or other governmental orders. You are hereby advised that in the event of a criminal investigation by state or federal authorities or regulatory inquiry pursuant to BetHarness licenses, you waive any and all rights to account holder information and data in BetHarness's possession, and you specifically authorize BetHarness to disclose said data and information to law enforcement authorities. In this situation, you release Churchill Downs Technology Initiatives Company, and Churchill Downs Incorporated from any and all liability related to such disclosure, to the fullest extent permissible by law.

From time to time, BetHarness may share Other Information we collect about you with third parties, in an aggregate and confidential form only, in order to assist with marketing and other business activities.

All information collected by BetHarness remains the exclusive property of BetHarness.

Public Postings (Forums, Chat Rooms, Message Boards)

Please note that information you post in a chat room, a message board, a forum or another public posting area can be viewed by anyone with internet access. Please use caution when disclosing personal information in public posting areas like these. BetHarness is not responsible for a third party's use of information which you post in a public area.

Third-Party Sites

BetHarness includes links to other websites whose privacy practices we do not control. Information you provide on another website is governed by the privacy policy of the operator of that site. These websites may have privacy policies and practices that differ from ours.

Third-Party Advertisers

We use third-party advertisers to serve advertisements on BetHarness. Our advertisers may use cookies, web beacons and other technologies to, among other things, enable our advertisers to monitor the ads you have viewed on our site.

Third Party Policy

By signing up at BetHarness, customers are giving permission to disclose contact information to third parties. 

If you want to revoke your permission for BetHarness to share contact information with partners or other third parties outside our business operations, you may do so by contacting customer service and specifying that you want to opt out of BetHarness sharing your contact information with third parties. Once your request is received you will be removed from such contact within 14 business days.

What We Do To Protect Your Privacy

To ensure site security and network performance, BetHarness monitors all inbound and outbound network traffic in order to identify unauthorized attempts to upload and change information, or otherwise cause damage or conduct criminal activity. Unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or otherwise cause damage to this service are strictly prohibited and shall be punishable under applicable state or federal law. 

We use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information during your online interactions with BetHarness. We utilize procedures to protect confidential information off-line, as well. Generally, we restrict access to your Personal Information to employees who need the information to perform a specific task for you. Our employees use password-protected screen-savers to protect against loss when they leave their desk. The servers which hold personally identifiable information are maintained in a locked, secure hosting environment.

Ability to Access Personal Information

Players may request access to their own personal information collected by BetHarness. Players can request this information by following these steps:

Opt-Out Policy for BetHarness Solicitations

You may opt out of receiving advertising and general information e-mails from BetHarness that are not associated with your account by contacting BetHarness customer service and specifying that you want to opt out of receiving advertising and general information emails from BetHarness. Once your request is received, you will be removed from such contact within five (5) business days.
